Divine cocktails and travel advice #NMF

7/06/2019

Nice tunes from the high north ànd the deep south reached the Tunify Headquarters, just in time for the New Music Friday meeting. Divine cocktails and some travel advice are included!

Aurora is the Roman goddess of dawn. Aurora borealis is the nerdy name for northern lights. Singer Aurora comes from Norway. Coïncidence? We don’t think so. This sophisticated songstress brings you dreamy, orchestral yet emotional music. Today you can get a taste of her unique mix of Scandinavian Folk and Electronic in Tunify.

The legendary Carlos Santana locked himself, his wife and six other musicians for ten long days in Rick Rubin’s recording studio in Malibu. They came out with 49 songs inspired by the African continent. Laura Mvula from England and Buika from Spain flew in to sing along to the best tracks and together they bring you a fusion of Rock, Latin and Jazz. Sounds like a tasteful, musical cocktail! For those who were to busy to go to Woodstock the first time around, they can catch Santana live in concert there in August. But remember to wear sunscreen!

Tim Bergling, a.k.a. Avicii, passed away last year but releases a new album this weekend with a little help from earthly friends such as Chris Martin, Aloe Blacc, Noonie Bao and those guys from Imagine Dragons. The well known Swedish beats mingle with Arabic and Caribean sounds and you’ll be in higher, if not heavenly, spirits soon.

The past couple of days a lot of musicians from all over the world tried their best to deliver suitable music to brighten up your weekend. Some notable names are Jonas Brothers, Motionless In White, Florent Pagny, Jamie Cullum, Krezip, PNL, The Black Eyed Peas, Loïc Nottet, Perry Farrell, Ida Mae, Palace, Ozuna, Annalisa, The Divine Comedy, Billie, Dvtch Norris, Liam Gallagher as well as Emeli Sandé.

Heavenly sounds from above or closer to home, Tunify will guide them directly to your loving ears!
