Promising talent, artists who deserve a second chance and iconic hairdos from the eighties… all are welcome at the Tunify New Music Friday Party!

Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis releases his long-awaited debut album today. Hitsingle “Be Alright” scored big worldwide in the last quarter of 2018: Number One in Belgium, Top 10 in The Netherlands and even now, you can’t stop streaming the song in your Tunify player. So if your guilty pleasure is a sensitive thirtysomething from Down Under who handles his acoustic guitar with care, you can expect a feast for your ears this weekend.

Closer to home, English-Irish Maverick Sabre tries to make amends with the critics and the public by means of his third album “When I Wake Up”. Back in 2011, his first singles “Let Me Go” and “I Need” followed by his debut album, wooed the English music scene. The second outing of the soulful singer-songwriter with the highly recognizable voice plummeted his career. Today he hopes to rekindle the fire in your Tunify player.

Sassy sixtysomething Bonnie Tyler peaked the late seventies, early eighties with songs like hits “Lost In France”, “It’s A Heartache” and  “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”. The last one is a classic at weddings, in karaoke bars, showers and under the duvet. The Welsh she-wolf just can’t get enough and releases her seventeenth (17!) album today. She gets a little help from her friends Cliff Richard and Rod Stewart. Bonnie and Rod not only have a raspy voice in common but also a big hairdo.

Another heroine from the eighties with bushlike hair is Nena from Germany. Everybody knows how to sing along to “99 Luftballons”, even if you're not German. It is a guaranteed crowd pleaser at weddings, in karaoke bars, showers and at peace rallies. Nowadays she helps out fellow country-man Christopher von Deylen, also known as Schiller.

Other forecasters of a sparkling weekend are f.e. Sleeper, Lambchop, Andrew Bird, Apparat, Jaguar Jaguar, Burak Yeter, Why Don’t We & Macklemore, Strand of Oaks, Friendly Fires, Shy FX, Paulusma, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Laura Tesoro.

So, this weekend, welcome the sun with open arms and new music from Tunify!
