Days get shorter, while the new releases list gets longer. In order to separate the wheat from the chaff, we selected the artists who hit the right note in your Tunify player!
Belgium was the first country to announce its candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, next spring in Rotterdam. With the band Hooverphonic they hope to strike the right chord with the European audience. Ex-Hooverphonic-singer Geike will test her audience this Friday with eleven excellent songs she worked on with singer-songwriter Joost Zweegers (Novastar) and renowned producer Wouter Van Belle (Axelle Red, Racoon …).
Although the name suggests otherwise, Portland is another homegrown Belgian product. Last year they won ‘De Nieuwe Lichting ‘, a new talent contest on alternative radio station StuBru. Releasing a debut album has proven to be a hard nut to crack, but today is their day. Expect dreamy indie pop influenced by rock and electronic. Quite the musical spectrum to accompany you on those long nights ahead.
No time to waste for Yannis, Jack, Jimmy and Edwin from British band Foals. They hardly had the time to tighten their guitar strings after the release of their last album “Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Part 1” last spring. “Part 2” hits your Tunify player as we speak. They must have had tons of inspiration on those long nights last winter season. If you are eager for more of those loud guitars and emotional vocals, you’re in for a treat. Will there be a ‘Part 3’ soon? It ain’t over ‘till the fat lady sings …
One certainty is the fact that all of the following artists are ‘upscaling’ your weekend with their new music: Katy Perry, Brihang, Niels Destadsbader, Frans Bauer, Tim Bendzko, Jimmy Eat World, James Arthur, Kraak & Smaak, Battles, Floating Points and The Mark Lanegan Band.
Thanks to their creative labor and your Tunify player the weekend can go out on a high note!
