Let’s start the weekend on Comeback Friday #NMF

Once upon a time, Céline Dion sang “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”. Not only trends but also artists can work like a boomerang.

With a slight risk of being overdramatic you can easily rename this ‘New Music Friday’ to ‘Comeback Friday’.

Rock fans who like it rough this weekend will go from ‘modestly hard’ over ‘seriously loud’ to ‘extremely deafening’ in no time. Batteries of following bands were fully charged during wintertime and the need for earplugs will grow exponentially from Mighty Oaks and Nada Surf over Delain and Green Day to Sepultura and Avenged Sevenfold. So respect the order of loudness if you don’t want a headache after your headbang party we know you are plotting. If not, it will surely feel like a boomerang hit you.

Lovers of elegant Electro Pop will be excited to learn that La Roux and Cerrone are planning their comeback today. The latter will be spicing things up with a pinch of Disco. That’s the way, aha, we like it!

Men around the world are still recovering from the steamy Super Bowl halftime performance by ‘conquistadors’ Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. Well, no rest for the wicked they say, so here comes your next case of ‘men flu’… Today the lush ladies from The Pussycat Dolls are hoping to repeat their successes of yesteryears.  Is their comeback single your cup of tea or just a bunch of meows, purrs and hisses? You can be the judge of that!

Exactly one year ago we had our spotlight on the renowned Sanremo Music Festival. This year plenty of acclaimed artists like Raphael Gualazzi, Elodie, Le Vibrazioni, Irene Grandi, Marco Masini, Francesco Gabbani, Michele Zarrillo and Paolo Jannaci make their comeback at the festival, and consequently in your Tunify Player.

Other notable new work from returning artists such as Christine and the Queens , Isobel Campbell (from Belle & Sebastian fame), Balthazar, Admiral Freebee, Michael Stipe, Khalid & Disclosure, Prince Royce, 5 Seconds of Summer, Wrabel, The Cadillac Three, Adam Lambert & Nile Rodgers, Niall Horan, Asgeir, Oh Wonder, Khruangbin & Leon Bridges, Sioen, Richard Marx, John Moreland and Anne-Marie will enlighten your weekend.

And just like all aforementioned artists, you know you can always return to the sometimes loud, sometimes lush, but always elegant home called Tunify.
