Loading: a legendary weekend … #NMF

Whatever your plans are this weekend, some legendary artists will accompany you with new music. And that’s promising! #NMF

Tunify-Neil Young

Looking to stay safe and sound this summer, but also hoping to (re)create that sunny feeling at home? Well, look no further. This is the right time to clean out the cellar or attic and maybe dust off some old and forgotten records. Or maybe go out and do some sightseeing in your own city, support your local restaurant and shops. Or simply listen to the smooth and refreshing sounds from your Tunify player.

As is often the case, the most experienced people lead the way; Two living legends show

the millennials how it’s done. Nobel Prize laureate Bob Dylan, a.k.a. Robert Allen Zimmerman for his friends, releases today “Rough and Rowdy Ways”, his thirtyninth studio album. ‘Hold my crazy horse’ one Canadian called Neil Young must have mumbled as he went up his attic and brought back a previously unreleased album, appropriately entitled “Homegrown”. It was recorded back in the haydays of 1974, but Neil finally seems to think the time is fitting to unleash it into your Tunify Player.

Worshippers of those Rock and Folk Gods, you know what to do this weekend, but also keep in mind that Belgian youngsters Absynthe Minded are worth giving a spin or stream or two. The perfect soundtrack to a five star staycation!

For those who know to appreciate a jazzy sound, we present you the divine Thomas Dutronc, son of French icons Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy. Genetically all is well in place, and creativity has done it’s part. With his fifth album Thomas brings us reinterpretations of musical heritage and becomes an established artist in it’s own right.

Evergreens from the likes of Edith Piaff, Charles Trenet, Air, Sacha Distel, Jacques Brel and Django Reinhardt, he swiftly make them sound as if they were his original creations. Il faut le faire!

Like we promised you last week, Michael Franti and his Spearhead pals release the second half of their “Work Hard & Be Nice” collection. All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy, so for those who prefer their men to be smooth operators we offer you John Legend, Ben L’Oncle Soul ànd Jason Mraz. Your Tunify Players proves itself to be a true cornucopia.

Smooth as well as heavy sounding songs come this week from Lamb of God, Phoebe Bridgers, Bruno Major, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, Kate Ryan, Gregory Porter, Black Eyed Peas, Chibi Ichigo, Sttellla, Ron Sexsmith, DVBBS, IDLES, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Bruno Dinand, Nea, Natasha St-Pier, JC Stewart, Gloria Estefan and Ozuna.

A nice staycation, taking out the RV for a spin, or just spinning records at work, all brilliant ideas and fun things to do whilst listening to your Tunify player, your true companion!
