Middle-aged music lovers better keep track of their heart rate this weekend. Some artists who used to brighten up their formative years are releasing new material today. Needless to say, you will find the new ànd old stuff in your Tunify player.

The American nu metal band Korn stole human hearts and those of critics way back in the nineties, with the multi million-seller “Follow The Leader” as a high point. They were truly pioneers with their unique mixture of metal, rock and hip hop. Today the guys from Korn bring you their thirteenth (13!) album and once again you can wallow in self-pity, pain, nihilism and distortion. The album is called “The Nothing”. No surprises there.

Also wildly beloved in the nineties were The Goo Goo Dolls. Every 40-something person was slow-dancing with a loved one on “Iris” back then. Reminiscing about that time, it is only human to wallow in self-pity once again.

In that era, the lads from Puddle of Mudd were also responsible for some movement on the dance floor, but slightly more hyperactive. That’s what post-grunge is supposed to do to your feet and body. Their average speed of releasing new material is rather low though. Today they offer you “Welcome To Galvania”, only their fifth album. But nevertheless, feel free to explore their music, but be sure to wear a helmet.

Sam Fender was still wearing diapers in those aforementioned nineties. Today he gives birth to his long-overdue debut album “Hypersonic Missiles”. Sam already won this year’s prestigious  ‘Brit Awards Critics’ Choice’. But Sam isn’t in a hurry it seems. Seven songs of this album were already singles. Time flies when you’re having fun, just ask those guys from Korn, The Goo Goo Dolls and Puddle of Mudd.

Not waiting any longer to put out new work are  Pixies, The Faim, Charli XCX, Cold War Kids, Black M, Metronomy, Charlie Puth, FKA Twigs, The Lumineers, Chelsea Wolf, Calogero, Twin Peaks and Emeli Sandé.

So use your time wisely this weekend, use Tunify!
