River Woods Beach Club

We have to admit: summer in our regions sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. But now temperatures are rising, everybody wants to enjoy the summer to the fullest. And isn’t the seaside the best place to experience summer? Sure it is! We popped by the River Woods Beach Club in Knokke to see how they spend their summer, come rain or shine.

The River Woods Beach Club has been around since 2010 and has built its concept on 3 pillars: sports, family and party. From April to october, the bar and restaurant are open and everybody's welcome to enjoy all kinds of sports and fun on the water and on the beach. We have a wide range of activities, says Jordan Deschrijver of River Woods Beach Club: “Catamaran, kite surfing, stand-up paddling, sea kayaking, beach volleyball, rafting… You name it, we have it all. We even have our own programs in cooperation with Jackfly, the first recognised surfing and kite school in Belgium. If you like to take it easy, there’s the 'The Zoute Petanque Club’ for which we organise a competition every fortnight."

Regardless of the sports on offer, a lot of visitors come to enjoy the setting. “Next to our sport activities, we’re also known for our great apéro parties, barbecues and other events,” says Jordan. “During the day, we create a cool lounge atmosphere with Tunify. Later in the afternoon, we move on to some more deep house to create a nice aperitif atmosphere.” Not only the visitor benefit from the music of Tunify: “Having nice music in the background also motivates our employees. It brings our staff in a good mood and makes them serve our customers with a smile.”

“We use Tunify 7 days a week and about 15 hours each day,” says Jordan. “We mainly play from the deep house, lounge and pop music channels in Tunify Blue and we create our own personal playlists. Also, from time to time, we play music that is requested by our customers."

“Tunify was recommended to us by colleagues from other hospitality businesses,” said Jordan. “First and foremost, the ease of use, the search functions and the audio quality - even though it is streaming - convinced us. And also the pricing, to be honest."
