Eggcited releases for Easter weekend #NMF

Much like the Eastern Bunny #NMF delivers the goods! When the bunny shows up in your garden expect the unexpected, be prepared to be surprised… like with all good music!

Tunify-Demi Lovato

Besides a microphone, a camera can work miracles. Demi Lovato is on her own path to deliverance. Although we all remember her convincing version of “Let It Go”, she can not put her money where her mouth is. Struggling relentlessly with drinking and drugs addictions since she was a teenager, last week she got all confessional in a four-part documentary “Dancing With The Devil-The Art Of Starting Over”. Today she releases a sort of soundtrack to that, describing her trials and tribulations, fighting her demons, and hoping for a resurrection. Not only Demi’s vocal talents have perfect timing.

Less heavy on the heart topics come blowing in from France. Sheila collected the most golden records for a  female artist in her home country during the second half of the last century. In the rest of the world, she is best known for her disco classics “Spacer” en “Singing In The Rain”. Together with Johnny Hallyday, she was the personification of the yéyé generation in the sixties, but today Annie Yvonne Jeanne Gisèle Chancel ( the name on Sheila’s very French ID) surprises with a new album in her own unique and subtle style.

You can not make an omelet without breaking eggs, so some very brave artists went into a corona proof recording studio recently and came up with some delicious tracks. We are talking about Olivia Rodrigo, The Fratellis, Garbage, Kele, Miss Montreal, The Shapeshifters, Foxes, Glasvegas, The Snuts, Matt Simons, Tate McRae, Anna Of The North, Sam Ryder, Milow, Camille, Matt Sweeney & Bonnie Prince Billy, Bakermat, Karol G, Robbing Millions, 24kGoldn, beabadoobee, Rebecca & Fiona, Bosse, Polar Youth, Truck Stop, Becky Hill, Josef Salvat, Kyle Falconer, Krezip, Dennis Lloyd, The Veronicas, and Oscar and the Wolf amongst others.

Next Friday, April 9th, Taylor Swift releases a new version of her 2008 “Fearless” album. All tracks were re-interpreted in order to get full control over her earlier work. Leaving bad eggs (in this case one ex-manager and a record label) behind, she moves further down her own yellow brick road. Not only a good day for the Swifties but also a date to look forward to for fans of Years & Years, which from now on is a solo project for singer Olly Alexander. Thanks to some good lawyers he gets to keep the name of his former group, in order not to confuse people even more in difficult times. More new music from the likes of Rag ‘n’Bone Man & P!nk, Felix Da Housecat, Cheap Trick, and, surprise, Jean-Michel Jarre.

So dig in like your Tunify Player is a box of chocolates, whether you enjoy dancing with the devil or following fearlessly the yellow brick road. Thanks to #NMF you’ll get fresh at the weekend!
