One surprise after another #NMF

Since 2020 seems to be full of surprises, why not have a Christmas-themed EDM festival on your own? Anyway, discover the new releases here!

While autumn leaves are falling down, artists are preparing for a longer than usual hibernation.

Due to the closure of so-called ‘non-essential’ stores in some countries and the limitations on live performances all over the world, record companies fear that their main artists can not promote their new material to the fullest. So once again, some releases are postponed, now until the spring of 2021.

When the world will turn again at its usual pace, we will at least get a beautiful and divers soundtrack to accompany the event.

That’s why we have the utmost respect for those artists, devoid of commercial concessions, take a risk and go ahead with their plans. They have trust in the digital age and believe in the power of streaming. Or they are, like anyone of us, insecure of what the future will bring and feel the need to express themselves, especially in what could become the most awkward festive season in our lifetime.

Seasonal artist Josh Groban, who can easily make every evergreen his own, and piano wizard Jamie Cullum, both have a Christmas themed album ready today. The Piano Guys weight in here as well. If these efforts form top-class musicians and vocalists will not get you in a festive mood immediately, don’t shoot the jazz piano player.

Rock artists as well as rappers are rarely subjected to changes in weather nor worldly events, so  both SAINt JHN and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are unapologetically dropping there new album this week in your Tunify Player.

Other brave musicians releasing new songs this week are Shawn Mendes & Justin Bieber, Bleachers & Bruce Springsteen, dirk., Eddie Vedder, Rondé, Gio Kemper, Fantasy, Fiorella Mannoia, Danny Vera, Sia, Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa, Hooverphonic, Gabriel Rios, Great Mountain Fire, Lynda Lemay, Glennis Grace, and Mariza.

From Friday November, 27th on, you can stream the long-awaited Miley Cyrus album, as well as new work from  Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Joe Armstrong, Gary Barlow, Sfera Ebbasta and the comeback from, 5-6-7-8, Steps!

And how about a Christmas-themed dance album from Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and their friends in DJ culture? It is a very strange year indeed. DJ Anouk (Dimitri’s spouse) and Sylver’s Sylvie are giving the classic “Last Christmas” an energetic makeover and top shell DJ’s Timmy Trumpet, Nervo, and Steve Aoki are turning some Christmas carols around as well. Ho Ho Ho House!

As an antidote for those who like to chill very hard under the Christmas tree, we recommend  “A Very Chilly Christmas” by Chilly Gonzales.
