The start of another ‘Roaring Twenties’? #NMF

The music world has already made good intentions for 2021: release a lot of music! Ready for a musical preview of 2021?

Things will get better in the new year, so they say. Day by day, week after week, month after month. “The Only Way Is Up” by Yazz & The Plastic Population was a worldwide number one in 1988 and pushed acid house into the mainstream. Which underground sounds will become the flavor of 2021? Wait and see, but we will make “The Only Way Is Up” our mantra this year. And the acid house symbol, the smiley, will be all over our faces along the way! In the musical department, the coming twelve months will not let us down. Let’s say if 2020 was ‘the break’ then 2021 will definitely become ‘the beat drop’.

For starters, this week Passenger, Justin Bieber, The Vices, Krezip, Deadmau5, Avril Lavigne, Morgan Wallen, and Kings of Leon will present new work. At the end of 2020, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran surprised us with (semi) new material and more is on the way.

Barry Gibb covers songs by Bee Gees, with a little help from his friends. Since Barry is the only surviving Bee Gee, he asked Dolly Parton, Jason Isbell, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, and other artists to fill the big shoes of his deceased siblings Robin and Maurice. Hear the result as of today in your Tunify Player.

In the second half of January new albums from Front Line Assembly, Why Don’t We, You Me At Six, Benjamin Ingrosso, Jazmine Sullivan, Lana Del Rey, Fickle Friends, Accept, Flux Pavillion, Julie Zenatti, Kimberose, Bicep, Lonely The Brave, Steven Wilson, Sleaford Mods, Balthazar, Arlo Parks, Ani Di Franco, Rhye, Bugzy Malone and Drake will be added to your Tunify Player.

Also expect a surprisingly good collaboration between late nineties German phenomena ATB and last year's hot talent Topic & A7S. And then there’s the comeback from Diplo and Mark Ronson as Silk City, who scored big time with Dua Lipa back in 2018. They hope to repeat that success, now with Ellie Goulding on vocal duty.

At the beginning of February, a new Foo Fighters album will see the daylight and London Grammar, Slowthai, Celeste, Florida Georgia Line, Pale Waves, Black Coffee, Boulevard Des Airs, The Staves, Pentatonix, The Pretty Reckless, Sia, Julia Stone, Sheppard, Tash Sultana, SG Lewis, Alice Cooper, Architects, Epica, Madison Beer as well as good ol’ Willie Nelson will bring new music next month.

March and Spring will bring sunshine as well as stormy weather ánd new work from Sting, Evanescence, Vanessa Mai, Thunder, Rob Zombie, Glasvegas, Amy Shark and Weezer to name but a few.

Ready to rumble in the festival season with new songs are Bleachers, Adele, FKA Twigs, Garbage, Ghost, Kelly Clarkson, Lorde, Liz Phair, Megadeth, Natalie Imbruglia, Rihanna, Royal Blood, Travis Scott, Zara Larsson,24k Golden, Guns N’Roses and even The Scorpions.

We are all hoping they will deliver the ideal soundtrack to that season. And even though we are already impressed by the aforementioned artists, no doubt these names are just the tip of the iceberg.

So keep your eyes on and ears open for your updated Tunify Player. Day by day, week after week, month after month and everything will be alright!
