Who will be our king of the new releases? #NMF

On Wednesday, the Belgian King’s 60th birthday was celebrated in several Belgian living rooms. Today we also have something to celebrate: new music!

Tunify-Enter Shikari

This week, the Belgian king blows out sixty candles on his birthday cake. In a week and a half the Dutch will be celebrating ‘King’s Day’. Each year one host city receives King Willem-Alexander with open arms. This year everybody will be held off at a royal distance of (at least) one and a half meters.

So, why don’t we start looking for our king of the new releases instead?

British band Enter Shikari brings us an exciting mixture of post-hardcore, electronic and experimental rock and (why not?) drum & bass. Their sixth album sees the light of day this weekend, but the promotional tour has already been postponed to the Fall.

Thanks to the digital world creativity is not in lockdown. Artists are performing from their living room and they drop a new song in your Tunify Player every now and then. All you have to do is turn your living room into a party zone or the restricted area of your own festival. You are in charge of the line-up!

This weekend, Dutch rebel MEROL organizes her own “houseparty” and some fresh talent from Antwerp (Wavey Vayn) ánd Brussels (Estelle Baldé) knocks us off our feet. Returning favorites are Jasper Erkens, The ColorGrey and Uberdope amongst others.

Music is in our human (royal) blood, across all borders. Far beyond the realms of the Benelux music makes the bourgeoisie and the rebel come together, the Queen of Pop (kind of) sings.

New efforts from the likes of Jason Mraz, Gauvin Sers, Ghostpoet, Laura Marling, Pitbull, Becky G, Shelby Lynne, The White Buffalo, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Peter Schilling, Blank & Jones, Rumer, Rufus Wainwright, Kelly Clarkson, CamelPhat and Fiona Apple can be found in your Tunify Player from today on.

Unexpected collaborations without any physical contact between Sam Smith & Demi Lovato, All Saints & Sting, Tiësto & Becky Hill, Ycare & Axelle Red, Diplo & Wax Motif, Dynoro & Fumaratto and The Streets & Tame Impala are waiting to be unveiled.

A royal fest of high notes, impressive ballroom dancing at home and rebels without touching will be held in your Tunify this weekend.
