To play Tunify in your business, it is best to connect your device to your sound system. Before we can help you further, you need to know what connection options your audio installation has. Can you connect wirelessly via Bluetooth, Wifi or Airplay? Or only using a cable?
Once you can answer this, you can choose from the options below to connect your device to your audio installation.
Bluetooth
- Turn on Bluetooth on your device and on your audio system if necessary
- Go to "Bluetooth" in the settings of your device
- Choose your audio system from the list of available devices
- Open Tunify on your device and press ‘play’!
Airplay
- Open the control panel of your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad
- Do you have an iPhone X or newer, or is your iPad running iPadOS or newer? Then swipe down from the top right corner of the screen.
- Do you have an iPhone 8 or older are you working with iOS 11 or older? Then swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
- Hold your finger on the group of controls in the upper right corner
- Press the Airplay symbol
- Tap on the name of your audio device
- Open Tunify on your device and press ‘play’!
Auxiliary Port (AUX)
- Plug one end of the AUX cable into the headphone jack of your device
- Plug the other end of the AUX cable into your audio device as needed
- Make sure your audio system is turned on
- Open Tunify on your device and press 'play'!
Sonos
- Open the Sonos app on your device
- Open the Settings tab, tap "Services & Voice"
- Under Music & Content, tap "Add a Service"
- Select “Tunify For Business”
- Tap "I already have an account"
- Click "Allow"
- If you are not yet logged in to MyTunify, you can now log in with your email address and password or with a player code
- Click on the zone you want to use to play music through your Sonos speaker
- After that, you'll automatically return to the Sonos app
- Click on Tunify For Business with your chosen zone
- Press ‘play’
Wifi
- Turn on your wifi on your device
- Follow the instructions of your audio system to pair your device with the wifi network
- Open Tunify on your device and press 'play'!
