In the barn of a restored water mill, Lien and Ine Hendrickx run a pop-up summer bar called De Geensmolen. On the terrace of the historic building, visitors enjoy local specialities such as the 'limonic', a gin and tonic with limoncello. Summer bar B-Artiek in Kortessem (Limburg)
In the southern part of the Belgian province of Limburg, you will find Kortessem, a rural municipality known for its spectacular views, farms, watermills and castles. One of those castles is located in the centre of Kortessem. The garden and park neighbouring the historic Fauconval Castle are protected as public heritage. In this idyllic setting, you will find summer bar B-Artiek. From June to August, you can enjoy snacks and drinks in the cosy courtyard. The owners of the summer bar are antique dealers and artists. You could have guessed that from the name B-Artiek (short for Belgian art and antique), although the exquisite bar made from a restored merry-go-round also gives it away.
